Headaches
A headache is a condition experienced when a pain either sharp or dull, happens in the head. You can also feel the pain in the neck and in the upper back.  There are many causes for headaches such as eye strain, sinusitis and even from more serious conditions such as encephalitis, meningitis, cerebral aneurysms and even brain tumors. Headaches can also be caused by head injuries as well. Most common headaches are called tension headaches; you can experience headaches when you suffer from caffeine withdrawal and dehydration. Usually, a headache can be treated with over the counter medication such as aspirin, paracetamol or more commonly known as acetaminophen and ibuprofen.

There are 5 categories of headaches, they are vascular, and myogenic which is muscle tension, inflammatory and cervicogenic traction. The vascular headache is one of the most common types of headaches. Migraines fall under this category. These headaches occur when you get severe pain on one or both sides of your head. You can also experience blurred vision and a super sensitivity to light. These headaches can be treated with medications, some over the counter medications work great and in cases of severe and constant pain; the doctor may give you a prescription drug to help.

Muscular or Myogenic headaches have the symptoms of the tightening or tensing of the neck and facial muscles. The pain may also travel around to the front of the head. A tension headache is the most common type of the Myogenic headache. Most people when they experience a headache,  it is usually tension.  Cerviogenic headaches come from certain disorders in the neck area. Cervical headaches are most often connected with a neck movement with a neck strain or an unnatural movement. With these headaches you may experience restricted movement.

The mast category is called the Traction or Inflammatory headache; these are from other disorders from sinus infections to a stroke. There are other specific types of headaches that would fall into these categories. Some of them are Toxic headaches, Rebound headache, Coital Cephalalgia, Sinus headaches, Red Wine headache, Thunderclap headache and Ice Cream headache.
